What is GAAP?

Theatre Studies envisioned and developed GAAP through the Center for Principled Problem Solving in collaboration with the Bonners Center for Community Learning. The project provides Guilford students with a chance to engage in solving a real world problem with ethical reasoning by creating an arts literacy program for the underserved immigrant youth populations  of Greensboro’s Glen Haven and Avalon communities. The Guilford students use their particular artistic skills to empower the children to express their personal and communal experiences in a performance piece given for the general public. The project helps all to engage in the world more fully through the arts.

The semester's work will culminate in a final performance on Thursday, April 21st at 7pm in Sternberger Auditorium at Guilford College . The event is free and open to the public.
